West Lakes Adventure is based amidst the high fells of the Western valleys at the foot of the highest mountain in England – Scafell Pike, and is a perfect place from which to begin your next mountain adventure.

If you are tired of standing in the valley looking up and longing to experience the rewards of topping out on a mountain summit. If that peak is eluding you or you simply want to take the stress out of your day in the mountains then hire a professional mountain instructor to accompany you. Your instructor will use their wealth of in-depth local knowledge to assist you in choosing an appropriate and memorable route, and if you wish they will spend the day coaching you in aspects of mountaineering such as navigation, route finding and mountain safety.

Why not kill two birds with one stone and learn new skills whilst spending time in the mountains. Our instructors can help you build your skill levels and confidence by coaching you in aspects of mountaineering.

Scrambling is the bit between hill walking and rock climbing and can provide the most exhilarating and memorable routes to mountain summits. Scrambling is suitable for any ability and can be a great way to motivate children that become easily bored when walking to enjoy time in the mountains.

If you haven’t scrambled before then spend the day with a West Lakes Instructor who will guide and coach you in some of the Lake Districts most inspirational scenery, on some of the most memorable scrambles.

The Lake District is home to a huge array of classic scrambles. Let a West Lakes Instructor take all the stress away and guide you on as many scrambles as you can manage. And if your aim is to learn, then your instructor will coach you through all aspects of scrambling safely and efficiently.
